How does the tilt and turn function work? 

The Tilt & Turn window can be managed in three ways.

1. Turning the handle downwards sets the window in the locking position by pushing the locking bolts in the locking plates.

2. To put the window in the tilt position, turn the handle upwards. Doing this allows the window sash to tilt out of the frame until the scissor gear limits its inclination. 

3. To put the window in the turn position, turn the handle horizontally. By doing this, you lock the scissor gear. At the same time, the locking bolt and locking slider remain unlocked, allowing the window sash to open like a side-hung window.
